Constituency Groups Work Together

The labor movement includes a number of constituency organizations that help work for justice. Among them are the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW), the A Philip Randolph Institute (APRI), the Labor Committee for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU), the National Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice, and Pride at Work.

Other organizations such as Jobs with Justice and the Dallas group, Committee for Economic Justice, while not recognized as constituency groups, work with the labor movement. You can get in touch with all of these organizations through this page.

At the October 21 Central Labor Council meeting, some of the constituency organizations joined together to show their appreciation to the delegates. During the meeting, Angela Johnson of CLUW, APRI, and CBTE announced that she was selling raffle tickets for a Christmas event at the South Dallas nursing Home. Tickets are $1 or 6 for $5. Drawing will be held at the meeting time, 6:30 PM on the 2nd Monday of December, at 1408 N Washington.
