On May 29, UAW 848 hall was used by political activists who were trying to straighten out some of the many clerical problems generated by Texas gigantic turnout in the primary elections. There were thousands of new activists who chose the delegates to state conventions. Many of them had never been involved in any political action -- or any kind of action -- before.
The result was administrative chaos! Panels of veteran political activists were still working to unsnarl all the paperwork as the state conventions approached. Sure, it's a big problem, but the giant upsurge in political concern and activity is certainly a good problem for America to have!
